Our U.S. headquarters near Philadelphia is home to our design and engineering teams, where every new product begins. Here we can benchmark existing designs as a starting point for improvements or start with a clean sheet to develop an entirely new component.

From rapid prototyping to finite element analysis, our in-house engineers develop OE-quality products. Our product engineers, positioned strategically in our manufacturing facilities around the globe, develop production and assembly processes, monitor material specifications, and assure adherence to all procedures to ensure a quality product.

Dorman’s network of sourcing, manufacturing and logistics partners provides us agility and flexibility, providing solutions ranging from short runs to mass production. Our distributed organization allows us to develop new products on a shorter timeline than many suppliers, with industry-leading go-to-market speed. This also gives us volume flexibility and market agility to quickly respond to unexpected changes in demand or specifications.

How We Fix It

Remanufacturing

Dorman’s expertise in complex electronics, mechatronics, and end-of-line sensors allows us to engineer unique remanufactured solutions. Our state-of-the-art facilities in Pennsylvania and North Carolina are equipped to test, disassemble, clean, and remanufacture electronics hardware and hybrid batteries. We also have the capacity to manufacture circuit boards and modules in-house, while our software engineers can create original code to help develop recall solutions, consolidate overlapping parts or update existing hardware. An electronics remanufacturing program will contribute to the corporate social responsibility metrics of your organization and overall sustainability of your product portfolio.
